GOURMET CROSTINI | Recipe Of the Month !
INGREDIENTS
- Bread – 2 slices
- Tomatoes – 1 whole
- Herbed Goat cheese - 1 small 2 oz log
- Provolone – 2 slices (slice into quarters)
- Pastificio Mandala Sicilian Olive Sauce- 3 tablespoons
- L'Olèologie White Truffle Oil- 1 tablespoon
- L'Olèologie - Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil 500 ML- 1 tablespoon
- L'Olèologie - Dark Italian Balsamic Vinegar (3 Yr) 500 ML– 1 cup
- Fresh Basil Leaves
- Fresh Parsley
COOKING METHOD
Step #1
- Take sliced bread and trim crust off bread and cut to make equal pieces.
- Sprinkle truffle oil on slices.
- Toast bread slices in toaster oven.
Step #2
- Pour 1 cup of L'Olèologie - Dark Italian Balsamic Vinegar (3 Yr) 500 ML into a small saucepan and bring to a boil on low heat. Stir until sauce becomes a thick syrup.
- After 5 minutes, remove Crostini’s from toaster oven
Step #3
- Top each slice with a small amount Pastificio Mandala Sicilian Olive Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Place tomato, then basil, a thin slice of goat cheese and then provolone cheese on top of crostini.
- Bake in the toaster oven to melt toppings.
- Drizzle each baked crostini with a drop of L'Olèologie - Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil 500 ML and L'Olèologie White Truffle Oil.
- Garnish Crostini with the reduced L'Olèologie - Dark Italian Balsamic Vinegar sauce, fine chopped parsley and a thyme.
