Also known as "cannaroni" this Napolitan cut of tubular pasta is an excellent addition in baked dishes, soups and salads. The kneading and drawing of the dough through bronze dies creates a rough texture to which a delicious sauce can adhere. And being a mezzi or half-cut, it's also more friendly to recipes that don't involve cutting and are more fork to mouth. This famous IGP pasta has been made in the streets of Gragnano for over 1,000 years using Italian durum wheat and local spring water.
