After 52 years ….

After owning a restaurant for 52 years I’ve finally found my quick fix for two…I could never cook for just my wife and myself without having leftovers for days til now…I’ve searched for the right pasta sauces and now at 74 I’ve stumbled onto Chef Mandela…all the variations are awesome…thanx

Almost as good as homemade and a lot easier

Very good the kids liked it and that’s what matters. I had to add a little to strengthen the taste. All around I’d order it again.

I finally found an incredible marinara

When Ragu in a jar became popular in the 70s, countless mothers got an occasional break from standing over a pot. Occasionally, I will peruse through canned or jarred sauces hoping one will be great right out of the jar. The only one I thought was close to good was Rao’s, made by the ten table restaurant in New York.
So I’m at Basha’s Supermarket in Tucson, Arizona and I see this marinara - Michael’s of Brooklyn. It’s roughly nine bucks so I’m questioning whether it’s worth it. I purchase a jar and open it when I get home. I take out a spoonful and taste it cold. Oh, this is going to be great hot I thought. How come I have never heard of this? Don’t get me wrong, we know how to make marinara. But this stuff is perfect - right out of the jar!
